Northeastern Italy’s Dolomites spill over with grandeur. This 6-day hike takes us through some of its finest scenes.
With most trails above treeline, our adventure in the Dolomites is nothing short of breathtaking. In the heart of the Italian Alps, the Dolomites offer more than just breathtaking views—they offer mountain huts. As you hike from hut to hut, your pack stays light. No need to carry the weight of the world—each evening, a warm mountain hut welcomes you with the scent of slow-cooked dinners, the comfort of a soft bed, and the luxury of a hot shower. These aren’t just huts—they’re havens, perched high above the clouds, where morning light pours through wooden shutters and fresh-baked bread greets you at breakfast. It’s mountain magic, Italian style—effortless, delicious, and unforgettable.

Today we will stop at a beautiful rifugio for lunch and walk through many flower fields.

Croda dei Toni

As we gain elevation, the landscape shifts—quieter, wilder, and more remote. Eventually, we reach the rugged silence of Croda dei Toni, one of the Dolomites’ most imposing and lesser-traveled giants. The views are raw and humbling—sharp ridgelines, deep valleys, and the kind of solitude that makes you feel small in the best way.

Elevation Loss: 1810 ft
DAY 6

Tre Cime di Lavaredo & Home
Early risers won’t want to miss the dramatic sunrise over the mountains to the east. We make our way towards the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Our trail winds past remnants of the World War I battles fought here; we pass by the dugouts and bunkers of the Austrian front lines and the eerie remains of Italian trenches and fortifications. The “Three Peaks” are some of the most dramatic formations in the Dolomites due to their extraordinary spike-like shape.

MEET YOUR GUIDES

Guide | Co-Founder | Engineer
Hi. I was born and raised in Northeastern, Italy and my family has had a vacation home in the Dolomites (Italian Alps) for over 60 years. I’m proud to tell you, the Dolomites are a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE located in Northeastern Italy. Each summer and winter break of my childhood, I spent my waking hours exploring every trail and backroad, climbing vie ferrate, hunting mushrooms, napping in the sun at the top of hikes, and skiing down the slopes of the Dolomites in the winters. And I’d like to share this with you. Come with me on an adventure of a lifetime: let’s hike the Dolomites together.
Rachel Jardine Demartin
Guide | Co-Founder | Pasta Maker
I grew up on five acres in Washington state—barefoot more often than not, with dirt under my nails and a deep love for being outside. My childhood was full of gardening, tree climbing, and any excuse to stay out until the sun went down. That early connection to the outdoors has shaped my whole life—a past Half Ironman finisher, current runner and hiker and leading others through the mountains.
What I love most about the Dolomites trips is how they strip away distractions and create space—for reflection, real connection, and a different kind of growth. Whether you’re here to challenge yourself, reset, or just breathe in some high-altitude air, I’m honored to walk alongside you. I’ll bring experience, perspective, a sense of calm, and probably snacks.

Qualifications
Most of our trips are rated Vigorous [4]. Trip members should be strong, experienced hikers in good physical condition and capable of hiking 7-12 miles (5-10 hours) most days with daily elevation gain/loss of 1300′-4,400’. Hiking occurs between 5,000′ and 9,000′ elevation. Some hikes will involve sections of trail that are steep, rocky and exposed (many of these sections are secured with steel ropes or other aids). We strongly recommend an exercise regimen beginning at least 4-6 months prior to departure consisting of hiking (with as much elevation gain and loss as possible), walking/running, cycling and/or swimming.
